In this new structure, in addition to the components you already know such as base, waiting time and kms, there will be incentives in all slots throughout the week. This will allow you to receive significantly higher rewards during high demand hours. In addition to the incentives that you will see in each slot, there are additional compensations, called “Supplementi”, for night work, bad weather and festivities.

The Rider CCNL provides that delivery companies guarantee a minimum of € 10 per hour worked, proportionate to the estimated time to make each delivery. For example, € 5 for an order with an estimated duration of 30 minutes. Each company is free to adopt its own payment structure for each order, as long as it respects this minimum.
The new structure introduced by Glovo is designed to eliminate the residual cases in which an order would have been paid less than this minimum, and to be able to pay significantly more for orders received during high demand hours thanks to the incentive system in each slot. These are in fact the most critical hours for you couriers, due to possible waits at restaurants, traffic, etc.

The new structure provides different incentives for each hour (slot). In some cases, these incentives can even reach 100%! If you don’t see any incentives in the slot, you probably haven’t updated the Glover app to the latest version yet! Update it now to correctly view the incentives in the calendar.

The change is positive because the basic and KMs reductions will be offset by the introduction of incentives at any time of the day. In fact, if you analyze the income of the next few weeks, you will notice that your earnings will be similar or greater than in the past. Thanks to the incentives in each hour (slot) and the various “Supplementi” provided, you can in fact earn significantly more in the hours of high demand.

The “Supplementi” includes additional compensations recognized in bad weather conditions (RAIN supplement), during night work (NIGHT supplement), on the occasion of the festivities indicated in the CCNL Rider (FESTIVITY supplement). Finally, for orders whose earnings would be lower than the minimum required by the CCNL per hour worked, you will find a supplement called EXTRA.

The festivities for which a supplement will be applied are: April 25, May 1, June 2, January 1, January 6, Easter and the following Monday, August 15, November 1, December 7 (patron saint of the city in which Glovo has its headquarters), 8 December, 25 December, 26 December. The FESTIVITY supplement should not be requested. It will be applied automatically and will be included in the “Supplementi” component visible from the next day.

The night supplement will be applied for orders accepted and delivered between 00:00 (midnight) and 7:00 in the morning. The NIGHT supplement is not required. It will be applied automatically and will be included in the “Supplementi” component visible from the next day.

The extra supplement is a supplementary fee that allows us to ensure that all orders have a fee that respects the minimum per hour worked set by the Rider National Collective Labor Agreement (10 euros gross, or 0.167 € per minute). Not all orders will have an EXTRA supplement, precisely because the vast majority will have a salary well above the minimum of the CCNL. The EXTRA supplement will also be calculated automatically where necessary and will be included in the “Supplementi” component visible from the following day.

Supplements can represent an increase of 10%, 15% or 20%, in the presence of one, two or three of these conditions: night work, festivities and bad weather. For example, in the presence of rain alone, the supplement will be 10%. In case of rain during the night, the supplement will be 15%, in case of concomitance of all three conditions, bad weather during the night on a public festivities, the supplement will be 20%. Remember that these increases apply to the sum of the components: base, waiting time, KMs and any extras!

Even if you don’t see the “rain bonus” in the app, don’t worry! The RAIN supplement will be calculated and added automatically the following day and it will not be necessary to contact the chat to request it or send photos.
The supplement will be automatically added in all cases in which an independent system with respect to Glovo will detect a level of at least 2mm of rain per hour. The PIOGGIA supplement will be viewable for each order only in the summary email sent the next day. Therefore it will not be necessary to contact the support chat to request the application of this supplement. It will be calculated and applied automatically the following day.

Even if you don’t see any NIGHT “Supplementi” in the app, don’t worry! The NIGHT supplement will be automatically calculated and added the following day for all orders accepted and delivered between 00:00 and 7:00 in the morning. It will not be necessary to contact the chat to request the NIGHT supplement.
The NIGHT supplement will be displayed for each order only in the summary email sent the next day.

Even if you don’t see any festivities “Supplementi” in the app, don’t worry! The festivities supplement will be calculated and added automatically on all public festivities provided for by the CCNL Rider (25 April, 1 May, 2 June, 1 January, 6 January, Easter and the following Monday, 15 August, 1 November, 7 December, December 8, December 25, December 26). It will not be necessary to contact the chat to request the FESTIVITY supplement. The FESTIVITY supplement will be viewable for each order only in the summary email sent the next day.

Unfortunately, due to technical limitations, it is not currently possible to show the “Supplementi” directly in the app immediately after delivery. This means that after a delivery you will only see the sum of the basic components, waiting time, KMs and incentives of the specific hour under “income”. You will be able to see the details of all the additional “Supplementi” only in the summary email, which will be sent in the morning of the following day. However, in the daily summary and in the summary of the period (2 weeks) in the app, you will find the item “”Supplementi”” (i.e., the sum of all the RAIN, NIGHT, FESTIVITY and EXTRA “Supplementi” possibly earned).

Unfortunately, even through the support chat you will not be able to receive further details than what you will receive via email the following day. In the daily summary (email you will receive the next day) you will find all the information you need, automatically calculated by the system.

Every morning you will receive a summary email with all the details of the orders delivered the previous day. In this email you will find:

  • Earnings: fees that correspond to what you can already view in the app for each order;
  • Supplementi: additional compensation for bad weather, night work, festivities and extras, possibly earned for each order.

Your final income, therefore, will be given by the sum of your income and “Supplementi”. Remember, the “Supplementi” for each order can only be viewed in this daily summary email. The total “Supplementi” will be updated (with a delay of one day) also in the app, but only at the daily summary and period summary level (therefore, not at the order level).

In the summary email you will also find the details on how any EXTRA supplement for specific orders was calculated. Based on historical data, an estimate of the expected time for each delivery will be made. By multiplying the estimated minutes by the minimum required by the CCNL Rider (€ 0.167 per minute, or € 10 per hour worked), we calculate the minimum compensation for your orders. Any EXTRA “Supplementi” will therefore be used to ensure that this condition is always respected.

Every 15 days, on the invoice, you will be able to view the total of your income, which will also include the total of the “Supplementi” earned during the period.

Even after these innovations, the tips to maximize your earnings always remain the same:

  • Collaborate during the busy weekend hours (because customers are ordering more).
  • Try to re-assign orders only in case of real need. Remember that when you reassign an order it may take some time before you receive a new one.
  • Keep the self-assignment key (AA) always active.
  • Remember to check-in on time (you can always do it from 25 min. Before the start of a slot up to 10 min. After).
  • Always keep your cell phone battery above 20%.
