The current state of events for motorcycle riders in Kenya leaves all of us in a difficult position. At Glovo, we strongly believe that sexual assault and gender-based violence has no place in our community. We urge couriers to stand with the woman and if you are a witness, to assist the police with statements during the investigation.
The presidential directive is affecting all of us as a country and we will be required to abide by the law..
What is the way forward?
- Let us all observe the traffic rules as the police force are currently cracking down on all riders who are not abiding by the traffic rules.
- Kindly ensure all the necessary documents are in order i.e.
- Driving license
- Motorbike insurance
3. Work towards getting the new documentation so as to re-register.
As we continue to monitor the situation, please let us work towards re-registering as per the new directives. The following documents will be necessary in the upcoming weeks:
- Certificate of Good conduct
- Boda boda Sacco membership
- Valid driving license
- Valid motorbike insurance
- Geo -tagging of motorbike
