Glutton Too High

26th November 2024 · 2'

Johnny, our infamous Glovo courier,  was confused as he had just received a message from Glovo. The message was unusual as it was a clear warning informing him his glutton was too high and he continued, his account would be blocked. He wondered what it meant as he was sure he was making next to perfect deliveries.

The issue is that Johnny had an order that morning which he had done and when he reached the delivery point, the customer was unreachable. Johnny clicked delivered instead of canceled for that order. The customer contacted Glovo and complained that they had not received their order but on their app it showed delivered. Glovo then called Johnny and he went back and delivered the order to the customer after instructions from the support team.

This presented a problem because the order should have been marked as canceled and not delivered. This is also regarded as fraud as the customer did not receive the order and the order was marked delivered.

This is what is termed as glutton (when we make orders as delivered yet they have not been delivered.)

We should only click delivered once the item has been given to the customer and the customer has made payment for it.

In case the customer does not make payment or in instances where we encounter challenges at the point of delivery we should chat support so as to receive the proper instructions on the way forward.

Which are the most common issues faced when making deliveries?
