Wednesday, 25th May saw the first and maiden Delivering Stories held in Kampala. What started as an ordinary and dull day, quickly turned into an all smiles and fun-filled day with lots of sharing, laughter, and interactions. For the first time ever, the couriers interacted with the top management and partners under one roof. That was amazing, right? ???
It was a day to celebrate the men in yellow shirts clad with the signature yellow backpacks, the men that show grit and go against all odds to make our vision come true “give easy access to anything in their city”
The day kickstarted with a speech from the Operations manager. The couriers were given a brief history of the company since its launch in Spain and in Uganda.
This was followed by courier success stories, a word from Glovo General Manager, representatives from KFC and Chicken tonight, and a panel discussion after awards and recognition.
a. Veteran courier (courier who has been with Glovo for the longest time)

b. Order maniac (The courier who has the highest number of delivered orders)
Winner: Ibrahim Lukyamuzi
c. Going the extra mile (Quitting is not an option. The courier who goes the extra mile goes above and beyond)
Winner: Ssenyonga Geofrey
d. All smiles (The All Smiles is infectious with its joy. Every negative thought fades from your mind when you see the courier)

e. Customer Experience and Contact ratio (courier who cares about the customer)
Winner: Omarchar John
f. Raffle draw (This was given to the lucky courier who reached on time)

Generally, the couriers were happy and appreciative of the idea of exchanging ideas, receiving and giving feedback and also mentioning, the photo moment ? at the end of the event!
